Welcome to School of Nursing and Midwifery

The School was originally established in 2008 and today is in the process of recruiting academic and support staff. The School's mission is to become a centre of excellence, conducting high quality research, promoting clinical practice and delivering high quality programmes that contribute to the health and prosperity of East and central Africa. The school is a network that by working closely with the international and local partners, seeks to enhance the health research and its dissemination, and so advance the development of evidence-based health policy and practice.

The School of Nursing and Midwiferythe infrastructure needed to develop and support multi-disciplinary research that extends across organizational boundaries within and between the University and its partners. This has been achieved by adopting a networked organizational structure.

The school prepares students for careers in nursing, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
